Fire pump service involves regular maintenance, testing, and potential repairs to ensure the pump’s reliability and effectiveness in delivering water pressure for fire suppression. This includes tasks like weekly tests, monthly and annual inspections, and more extensive checks every 2-5 years.

It is recommended that fire pumps be serviced once every three months. For diesel driven fire pumps this should include one major service every 12 months. A major service is when its oil and filters are changed, and sometimes its air filter, depending on the model.

By following a regular maintenance schedule and having a qualified service provider, you can ensure that your fire pump is ready to operate when needed.
